This feature is similar to Google’s AI Overview and produces information searched by users.
Microsoft has added more artificial intelligence features to Bing. With the new feature added to Bing, Microsoft’s search engine can generate the best possible answer for users’ requests with the help of artificial intelligence.
In Microsoft’s blog post about the new Bing feature, it is mentioned that if a user searches for “What is Spaghetti Western?” (a type of movie genre), Bing shows the user with its AI-based feature the movies of this genre, its history and origins, as well as several top examples.
In addition to general information, Microsoft Bing also provides links to users and also has some information related to the searched topic.
Bing’s new AI feature
For example, as in the image above, when searching for the term “lifespan of elephants”, a full summary of the user’s desired answer is first presented. After that, the user will be shown some videos related to the topic as well as other information such as “factors that affect the life span of elephants”.
After the results generated by artificial intelligence, there is also the usual Bing search engine listing and information.
Microsoft says that Bing’s new AI capability is only intended for a “small percentage of queries,” so it will show up for all searches.
Google also added a similar feature called AI Overview to its search engine earlier this year. In the past months, some mistakes of Google’s tools, such as the suggestion of adding glue to pizza and eating rocks daily, have been noticed by social network users. Therefore, it should be seen whether the tool provided by Microsoft also has such errors or not.
