Examining the source code of the Android version of Google Chrome shows that this browser will probably soon support the drag and drop feature.
Apparently, Google intends to soon add the drag-and-drop feature to the Android version of Chrome. The drag-and-drop capability, which is currently available in the desktop version of the browser, significantly saves time when transferring files. Therefore, its addition to the Android version seems logical and can improve users’ web browsing experience and productivity.

According to MSPoweruser, the drag-and-drop feature will be introduced in version 129 of the Chrome Android developer channel. This feature will allow users to move files within the browser from one location to another and also from the browser to other applications.
In fact, a string titled Enable DragDropFiles for M129 has been found in the Chrome source code, and therefore, the drag-and-drop feature is expected to be available for testing in this browser soon.
Reviewing the Chrome source code also reveals changes in the Recent Searches section of Chrome for Android. The text string “Enable requesting related searches” in the source code indicates that users will see related searches when typing their queries in the address bar. Although there is no guarantee that this feature will be widely released in the stable version of Chrome, the tech giant based in Mountain View is likely to roll it out to the public if it receives positive feedback from users and significantly improves the user experience.
