Google has introduced new visual effects for the Gemini AI and plans to make access to it easier.
Google officially unveiled the Gemini voice assistant along with new features during the Pixel 9 series launch event. Google aims to make requesting help from its proprietary AI on Android phones more seamless than ever.
According to 9to5Google, when the Gemini panel opens, a glowing light effect appears around it, making it look more visually appealing than before. Besides the enhanced appearance of the panel, a closer look reveals design similarities with Google Assistant.
Responses provided by Gemini now appear in a floating panel (with the option to expand to full-screen) instead of taking up the entire screen. This change not only minimizes disruptions for users but also aligns with Gemini’s image generation capability.

Users can drag and drop anything they create with Gemini into apps like Gmail and Google Messages. To open the full-screen interface, simply tap the top right corner of the panel.
When watching YouTube videos, the “Ask about this video” option now appears instead of “Ask about this screen,” allowing users to ask various questions about the videos. You can ask Gemini to display summaries or other details about the videos.
The new design and features of Gemini have not yet been widely released and will gradually become available to users. Google states that the new features will be rolled out to Android users of Gemini and Gemini Advanced in the coming weeks.
